Peering through the dense cluster of leaves of the bushes she was currently crouching beneath she spotted the flying monkey as it landed. Hunkering down further she hoped by the Wizard it wouldn't see her or scent her tracks. The filthy creature crawled around the clearing, snuffling and making small growling noises to itself, blowing up air from the ground so hard leaf bits blew up a foot from it's nose. For a heart stopping moment she watched as it halted about a hundred paces from her hiding spot. It snorted around a few more times, then raised it's head, almost staring right at her spot. She quaked, but spoke not a word, but prepped herself to run just in case. The creature stared for so long she felt like screaming. Suddenly it gave a giant sneeze, blowing out bits of random dirt and goo mostly all over itself. It paused a moment to look at it's sneeze blown windfall, licked it's grimy paw, then leapt into the air to fly off back towards it's lair. She gave a silent sigh of relief and watched it fly off. She waited a few more moments to be sure it was alone.

She spotted no one around, but crawled out from under her bush as quietly as she could just to be safe. Absently brushing off her leggings she made note where her bag was lying still under the bush. Carefully reaching in, she pulled it out then checked to be sure the wrapped package was still safe within. If this was lost, or Wizard forbid, stolen, she would be devastated. This was to be delivered to the head of the Resistance, and she gave her oath to deliver it safely. Repacking it back into her bag and slinging it across her chest, she checked her bearings then began to silently jog in the opposite way the monkey flew off.

She didn't have a map persay, but instead had a few sketchmarks of some landmarks she needed to pass. She knew what the various lines represented, but the hope was that to anyone else who might find it on her, it would look like just a bunch of crazily drawn lines and dots. She'd managed to cross the first river without incident, which she thanked the Wizard for as it was quite open to the sky. It was also very lucky there was a small abandoned raft on the shore, which she'd used to paddle herself across. It was only when she reached the outskirts of the woods that she'd been spotted by the flying minion. She was still amazed it didn't find her since she was still dripping a bit from that river, but she wasn't complaining. This package was too important for the minion to get it's grubby claws on! She spotted a small creek and stopped to fill her canteen again, taking a long drink before finally continuing on. She still had a ways to go and soon it would be dark. She'd definitely have to get a long ways from this spot, as she was sure that flying henchman would bring more of it's kin to check this area out... she definitely did not wish to be here for that party, especially in the dark.

She came to a small animal path and decided to risk it for a bit of faster pacing away from this area. It looked to be an older path, used maybe a few days ago so should be clear of any creatures... at least she hoped! There were a few traces of spoor, but it was definitely days old. She picked up her pace and moved from a walk to a gentle jog. While the path did meander a bit, it was generally heading in the direction she wanted, so she kept at it. After about an hour of travel her path began to skew towards another direction and she regretfully left that pathway. She had heard some water rapids to her left so she picked her way through the brush to find the creek she'd drunk from earlier had broadened out to a large river. She decided to follow this up, and, just in case anything did follow her scent along that animal path, she hopped into the shallow water and walked along the bed, being careful not to scuff the bottom up too much.

She noticed the trees were getting less packed, but thicker trunks. She also noticed the landscape was beginning to turn much rockier. As well, it was beginning to get darker as the sun dropped down beyond the tree canopy. It was just pure luck she spotted the cave. She made her way over to the area, noting the flat rocky shelf and squirmed her way up to it. Once she managed to climb up onto it, she found the cave entrance, when led in a short distance, then made a small "s" curve leading into a larger (and less rocky) cavern. It was still small enough to not call out attention, but the curve made it perfect to be able to make a small fire for warmth... and she needed that after the rivers! She brushed away where she thought would be a good spot for a firepit, then halted in fear. Someone had obviously used this cavern. There was a small circle of stones and a few charred wood bits already. Although it was several days old, she was wary of anyone returning to find her here. She was about to leave to find another place to rest when she saw the faintly glowing markings on the inner wall near the exit. Her heart skipped a beat and she went from being afraid to being elated! This cavern was made by one of the original Resistance members! Not only that, because of the way they glowed she knew this was almost as safe as being with the resistance itself!

She also saw signs of a hidden cache just under the markings leading to a timy storage space. Here she found dried food and enough wood for a fire for several days, as well as a few spare bits of clothing. She only needed for one night so she took what wood she needed, plus a dry outfit. She then re-covered the rest, thanking the Wizard for her luck this night. Soon she had a warm fire that let off very little light, and spread out her wet clothing to dry while she slept. After having a small meal, she bundled her bag under her head and fell asleep.
