Eiji is a bit- awkward, he knows it. He doesn't enjoy it but he understands where it stems from. His life hasn't been extraordinary by his own definition, but he can't claim that it's been ordinary either. More around in the middle. Social things were often made complicated by his parents and by those around him, he was always that strange boy. Luckily, he wasn't the strange boy all by himself. Eiji had two friends, one moved with her parents, the other had parents who settled in before having a child. Joslyn seemed to be drawn to the boy who sat by himself, enough that she wormed her way into friendship. Initially, she did the same to Augustus, drawing in the two boys into crazy adventures over time.

Fast forwards fourteen-years and these adventures soon turned into a job; paranormal investigation services. Or as others might call it, ghost hunting, not that they haven't done their fair share. Joslyn's team's focused moved from hunting to solving, doing what they can to help people understand what they're going through and helping them get rid of terrible paranormal activities. They take a investigative approach. Joslyn leads the team, she also does the research into the properties. Augustus is the technician, he keeps everything working and up to date. Along with setting up the cameras and most of the devices alongside other members of the team.

Eiji goes in before all that, to inspect the property to see if there really is any paranormal energy or spirits on the property- what he finds is researched by Joslyn. Sometimes, he finds things that are not on any public records, it is still presented if it matches customer complaints. However, Eiji is not often on set when they do the actual house investigation when using their equipment to try and gather evidence of the haunting. He's usually resting or preparing a cleansing for the property. On occasion, he has sat with Augustus in their recording tent or room if he isn't too tired or shaken from an experience. Just to help point out any anomalies in the live footage as it's fed from the crew's cameras and voice recordings.

Lately, the crew has begun a rise in popularity and they went from seeking out people to being sought after; soon people were calling them for help rather than following leads. This seems to have started a snowball of events that has them careening down a messy slope of growing popularity and recognition. While it does lead to more paying jobs, they're also being thrust in the limelight. Newspaper publications, radio interviews, and at one point a they were even contacted by their local TV station for more interviews and possibly a plan for a show. Joslyn, rejected the show offering. Insisting that it would only lessen their genuine efforts in paranormal investigation. She did not want her team to become something fake or misleading; but she happily accepted interviews.

Eiji himself preferred things when less people knew of them, the rising interest really made things complicated- more than it already was. He did not want his odd livelihood turned upside down for the sake of people who wanted a show to watch. He doesn't want to become a spectacle, a marionette on corporate strings. Secretly, he wishes they can go back to the beginning even if it means earning less money.

To cope with the change, he internalizes a lot of the stress and redirects it and releases it through other methods; meditation being one of many. He has dabbled in cigarettes but those left him only feeling emptier inside, and even a bit sick to his stomach. He'd revisit this vice only one other time before deciding it isn't the best choice. Now, he tends to resort to crosswords, sudoku, and wordsearch puzzles. Among a variety of activities.

Eiji is a psychic medium with Psychometry capabilities. He can gain information from holding a small object; about person, a place, or about a thing. Memories tend to cling to objects, whether these objects are important to someone, something, or some place.

It is possible to include his telekinetic power as well if you want, otherwise it can just be a special feature for his Gijinka state.

Eiji is not naturally introverted, but something he's learn to compensate for his differences; being quiet protected him from ridicule but not always from harsh treatment for being too quiet. While honest, Eiji does sometimes fall back on white lies when he's uncomfortable or trying to avoid obvious conflicts.

Eiji often smells of sage smoke, it permeates his clothes, hair, his skin. It is everywhere, it goes from a faint smell to a strong scent depending on whether or not he came across a spirit that made him uncomfortable. He carries a small, clear, quartz crystal; in his pocket it is pointed at both ends.

If not already apparent, his aesthetics dip into the "pastel goth/punk" spectrum. He wears primarily black colors with softer pastels as accents, Eiji just likes his wardrobe this way.
