phug-tastic

Wynonna sits quietly at the desk, working on something on the computer before her. She hears the door and only slightly glances in the doors direction. She says Hi dear! I'll be right with you, I have to finish this last bit of info. before I forget. How are you today?

She's the cutest little experiment that ever existed! From her tiny wings, to her sweet little floof ears, she just begs to be cuddled and loved ... and we are not gonna even speak of her tiny hands! She has to be the most perfect being to run this shelter. I couldn't imagine anyone else sitting behind that desk.

Sorry dear, I had to finish that paperwork before I get side tracked and completely forget about it. I get scatterbrained around here. And who wouldn't? This place is amazing ... and there's never a dull moment! I'm so glad you decided stop by today. Are you looking to adopt, foster, volunteer, make a donation? Oh, that's awesome! As she escorts you through some doors, and down a hall or two, she starts explaining the shelter to you ... and you can't help but think about how cheerful her voice sounds, and how knowledgeable she is.

This isn't any typical shelter though! It's a special kind of shelter that not many have thought of before. It's a Phug Shelter! But why do Phugs needs a shelter you ask? Truth be told, they don't really. But sometimes they get overlooked when they are surrounded by others because they are always thought of as the cute, outgoing, friendly babes that will never struggle with being adopted. BUT they are also shy little babes and can be a little stand-offish at first. It's just that they need a bit of time to warm up to new people. And then their true colors come flying through. They are intelligent, extremely affectionate and oh so playful. But, they can be a bit mischievous at times. Each one has a uniqueness all their own, that is why we suggest meeting a few types to find the perfect fit.

In our shelter, we try not to keep the Phugs in cages all day. We encourage them to interact with each other. We never want them to feel alone or scared. When they are alone, it's harder for them to relax. The more relaxed they are, the easier it is for them to make new friends. Our goal here is to get as many as possible adopted and loved. We'd love to find every Phug a permanent home!
