Banister is an artifical pet, originally a toy brought to life by a combination of magical items and essences gathered from Melody, Shinwa, and the Element Mage, and applied accidentally in an instance of gross mishandling. Only recently sapient, he can be naive and ignorant, often seeming like a child. He has an affinity for other toys and a fascination with living things, and gathers and takes surprisingly effective care of both- with little to no needs of his own he has more than enough time to dote on the numerous minions in his garden, which is already developing into something more like a sanctuary.
