About me? Well, there isn't much to say about me. I am a simple bird leading a simple life. I like to read - love it, in fact - and if the temple has not enough books to sate my mind, the library always does. Especially when that nice Neela is there - Kanima, she's called. She's a bit of a strange one, always in her own world, always trotting at her own pace. It's comforting to be with her. I like the books she picks for me to read, and sitting on her back is the nicest feeling in the world. Always the same, steady pacing, the same soft movements under my feet, and her fur smells lovely when I curl up to sleep. I'm not sure if this is what people call love - there sure is nothing exciting, no butterflies or heartaches and fever involved, so who knows? I just feel safe and comfortable with Kanima, and she enjoys having me with her, so we just decidet to be girlfriends, for whatever that means. I was never even looking for love, but I guess I have found it in her - or something better. Friendship, maybe? Community? Maybe love just is the best word for it, even if it doesn't mean the same for me as it does for others.
