Overthrow our dark master we tried,
With the curse we received, we may as well have died.
Voices to only mimic and feathers without flight,
Regaining what was once ours became our only plight.
We study magic and partake in sneakery,
What are we to do to get by except petty thievery?
Gathering in tall towers at the top of a cliff,
Our wings feel so useless, so stiff.
Should a shiny thing happen to catch our eye,
We'll try to acquire it, or else we'd cry.
Shiny things may be our weakness,
But we can't help our chicness.
Through the years, we try out best,
To not be the cause of many a jest.
We will regain what was lost,
So once again we can accost.
