Thousands of years ago, Winter was a shaman healer in his nomadic mountain village. A pestilence broke out among them, and he was unable to heal them from this new disease. Thinking the gods were angry with him, his people sacrificed him to the mountain in an attempt to appease them.

In modern day, his frozen remains were discovered by scientists, and his spirit reawakened.
