Entry #2: Specimen finally showing signs of brain activity. Intelligence is unknown at this point. Further work needed.
Entry #3: Still no signs of intelligence. Experiment seems to be a failure.
Entry #4: Specimen finally showing signs of intelligence. It is unknown why development was delayed. Specimen assigned as experiment #2285.
Entry #9: #2285 got hold of journal, eating 5 entries. All recorded data lost. Specimen showing signs of hostility toward anyone but myself.
Entry #10: 3 mo. since creation. Hostility still escalating. Definite signs of intelligence though for escaping. #2285 nicknamed "Abominator" by Avery after it bit his hand. Wound being monitored.
Entry #11: Abominator showing signs of parasitical activity. Avery's wound is worsening. Wound is secreting purple puss. Affecting his health. Further data needed.
Entry #12: Avery: deceased. #2285's saliva is extremely poisonous and filled with microscopic parasite eggs. Specimen unaffected by said parasites. I have received a bite. Presumed status: terminal. Still looking for solution/cure.
Entry #13: Health rapidly failing. #2285 remains alive 1 mo. without intake of food. Still no cure for bite, only a way to delay end result.
Entry # 14: #2285 has escaped. Location: unknown, but not in building. No cure for bite. Last entry. Experiment declared definite danger. Do not approach if seen. Experiment #2285 report: failure. Research will be destroyed to prevent further study. Experiment officially aborted. As the last log of my final day on earth, I request that my failed experiment be terminated with these mercury bullets I have created.

**Note: This journal is the last remnants of Roy M.'s research. He was found deceased in his laboratory on Nov. 30, 2008. Approx. 5 mo. after the start of the experiment. All other notes on the experiment were found burned to ashes. Experiment #2285, nicknamed "Abominator", is currently captured and remains in custody to this day. Research is currently underway despite creator's warnings under the watchful eye of Dr. Gregory E. Brinkfield. New notes will be added to these as the Doctor continues experimenting. So far there have been no more known accidents.
