Naoki Sen likes to believe his life started at age eighteen.

He took himself along with his younger brother -- who was fourteen at the time -- far, far away, away from their parents. In all actuality, he simply wanted to be far, far away from his old life in general. His past is something he doesn't miss in the least, perhaps because he felt such little attachment to his surroundings in the first place. What was there to miss when there was nothing there to begin with? He considered a place he lived, hardly a place for the heart to call home.

He would prefer if the past would stay in the past, right where it belongs. For the time being he is content to reside with Hatori, his slightly-kidnapped (but apparently not missed) younger brother. He's insistent that his brother finish his education, and enrolled him in a local high school. Naoki, though he never took the time to finish high school, currently owns and runs a small fortune telling shop in the mall, which makes more than enough for their small apartment. Sometimes girls merely come in to flirt, to toy with him or playfully take his hand in theirs. He doesn't discourage them, merely laughs and lets them be, but he does what he can to make sure they understand he is not interested; after all, it is only the pretty men that ever catch Naoki's eye.

Often the younger kids who even look in to his shop get scolded for having thoughts of toying with.. voodoo? But Naoki gave up on religion a long time ago. He's not necessarily Atheist, just doesn't have an opinion in general. His parents were heavy practitioners of their religion, but Naoki never had much an attention span for it. He merely followed their words before to please them, to make them proud he was their son, but it didn't take long before he decided he was done with them. Leaving them has certainly been one of his proudest moments.

Naoki isn't the strongest person around; in fact, he can be quite easy to push around if you really wanted to. A rare condition plagues him, Osteogenesis Imperfecta. His natural eye color is a dark shade of purple, but, self-conscious of this, Naoki wears brown contacts to hide it. There's a faint tinge of blue around the edges of the cornea, another (not-so) lovely side effect of his illness. His bones are fragile, his joins loose and constantly aching.

Despite his illness, it doesn't affect his bedroom antics. He does have a tendency to bring others to his room late at night. It is rare they stay longer than a few hours, really, but Naoki.. he prefers it that way. He doesn't expect them to linger longer than necessary. He sorely misses his first love; if he could simply get over him, Naoki is convinced he would be able to shape up and stay with someone more stable. But Naoki, weak as ever, can't bring himself to do it, not yet.

He has a small Papillon that him and his brother named Hisa, though when they introduce her to people they introduce her as Aiko, first and foremost. Hisa is mostly a name symbolic to the two brothers, who look at the meaning of long lasting in many different, though similar, perspectives. Hatori hopes things do not take a long time to cool down; Naoki wishes things did not take so long to go away.

It does not take much to keep Naoki happy. He is a simple person who likes simple things, who prefers to lay on a blanket under the stars then go to a theme park and ride on the rides that are over-priced. He adores picnics and people who put effort into a friendship with him. He'll reward the persons kindness with a friendship money can't buy.
