I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts

There they are, all standing in a row
Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head...

Coconuts. It wasn't her name, but something about them fascinated her. Everyday in the tropical waters off the Omen Islands coconuts would drift their ways out into the deeper reefs where the chelon lived. She would watch them intently, seeing how these seemingly lifeless creatures moved without any fins or a tail. Living in the oceans brought all sorts of treasures along but nothing quite as interesting-yet boring as these furry brown things. A crab had told her they were called "Coconuts" and that the islanders used them as food-they were not in fact, a living creature.

The Chelon was a little disappointed by that. How could something so interestingly boring not be alive? What purpose did they have outside of food? Slowly, she swam up to the top of the waves and grabbed one between her fins, noticing the thick husk. Letting the coconut float back up top she watched as it hit the top of the waves with a brief pop and a small splash.
The chelons who live in the Omen Islands are much different than those who live near Delphi- You see the Omen Island chelons cannot go onto land for very long... the sea creatures that lived on their shells would wither and die without the waters comforts.
