Lore has a minion!

Lore was born to the sixteenth ruler of the Indian Ocean. A flighty seadragon, Lore was never comfortable staying on one place, and took the role of sea roamer (or sea-gypsy as her father lovingly referred) - visiting the other dragon clans to bring news and tell stories.

One morning, shortly after dawn, Lore had taken to the surface and visited a lonely bay just off of the south coast of France. The Mediterranean sea was delightfully warm and one of Lore's favourite places to visit. The bay she had come to was more often than not deserted, and the lush scent of grass was enough to tempt her out of the water for a spot of grazing.

A short while passed and Lore relaxed, half closing her eyes as she nibbled on the tussocks of grass. The day was fresh and bright, and it made Lore feel alive.

The snap of a twig brought Lore to her senses in a matter of moments. She froze, hoping that whoever was there would go away before she made her dash back into the ocean. A seadragon hadn't been discovered by man in thousands of years, and she was going to break their cover? Her body shook in terror.

The perpetrator of the noise suddenly appeared from behind the rocks Lore was using to conceal herself. It was a horse! Lore sighed with relief, but then noticed the halter upon him. Halters meant man. Their eyes met.

"Don't come any closer, horse! I can poison you with one swipe of my tail! Leave me be!"
"Dear creature, I have no intent of doing anything that may harm either you or myself. I do not approach with malice, but with curiousity. I am sorry to have scared you."
"Me? Scared? I am the daughter of an Ocean King! I have power you cannot even imagine!"
"And beauty to go with that power. My name is Folly, dear sea dweller. May I inquire as to your name?"
"You are trying to trick me! Stay where you are! I'm leaving, now!"

Folly smiled without seeming at all disturbed. Lore turned and made for the ocean, glancing back every few moments to check that the stallion was indeed still. She was scared and fascinated all at once with him - she knew of horses, but had never actually met one before. She reached the ocean, and was about to submerge herself when she called back:

"My name is Lore!"

Song was given to Lore by her father on her 300th birthday - her coming of age ceremony. She became Lore's travelling companion, and loved minion.
