Background: There were two factions of Dragons in the land of Zyfeniarel. One of the groups was regal. They excelled in the arts and their culture was rich with diversity and magic. They were known throughout the land as the Flegalians. They were respected where ever they went. They were the fire breathers. The other group of dragons and the mortal enemies of the Flegalians were the Sciyxions. The Sciyxions were considered to be the evil at the root of all things. Unlike the Flegalians, they were rudimentary in their ways. Their whole purpose was to destroy all good in the world, especially their rival dragons. Instead of the majestic fire, they had control of lightning in their breath. The war existing between these two species has lasted since the world began; since good and evil were created.
Her story: Vylaelia was the second daughter of the royal family of the Flegalians. It was clear that she was going to be one of the Grand Musicians from the time of her birth. On her sixth birthday, when all dragons are given their role in the court, the Flegalians held a feast in her honor. Many say that the magnificence of this ceremony was never matched in the history of Zyfeniarel. All the Grand Musicians were there to watch her Christening. At exactly midnight on the eve of her birthday, everyone fell silent. Her sister then presented her with a silver harp engraved with ivy leaves and morning glories. Her sister, Tearwen, was considered one of the most beautiful dragons in the kingdom. As soon as Vylaelia touched the harp, she felt the magic flow through her. Then everything changed in a flash. The whole hall was alight with lightning and fire. The magic harp along with all the other gifts Vylaelia was given were burning. The Sciyxions were attacking. In all the confusion, Vylaelia was pushed into the pile of burning gifts. She landed on the magic harp. The silver leafing on the harp became attached to her scales, giving her a silver scar in the shape of a lyre. At the same time, the magic of the harp infused her body. It traveled through her veins. She could see the silver magic of the harp in the blood vessels that went through the thinnest membrane of her body, the wing membranes. When the attack was over, she was the only member of the Royal family remaining. Because she was so young and she was burnt, the Sciyxions did not believe she was important. Vylaelia is fifteen now and has matured passed her age. Instead of assuming the thrown and her musical duties at the court, she has abandoned the path once set for her. She has taken on the path of a warrior and has become one of the most skilled in the Flegalian forces. She has the unique feature of the Sciyxions. When they attacked on her sixth birthday, the magic that infused her veins absorbed some magic from the Sciyxions, turning her flame into lightning. She exclusively goes on solo missions, only taking her dearest friend, a minute and brightly colored wyrling. She fights for the restoration of her family’s honor. She does it alone.
Color: mostly light blue, with light purple on her wing membranes, belly scales and back scales. Dark purple and dark teal streaks.
