Taavi was born as an only child to his parents who lived in a small fishing village in Japan. He had a simple life playing on the beach, helping his mother and father with chores, and learning to cook traditional meals with his grandmother's guidance. However, his parents were poor and soon became indebted to a local businessman who was slowly taking over most of the area in which they lived. In order to clear their debt, Taavi's parents sold him to a brothel at the age of 6.

When he first arrived, Taavi was only told to clean up the rooms. He didn't much understand what was going on, but it wasn't long before the pretty little boy attracted attention and the owner of the brothel began putting him through an apprenticeship or training of sorts with one of the older women. She taught him how to dress in a kimono and how to act properly. When he was ten years old, he was considered completely trained, enough to now be one of the courtesans. His first time, like most of the other times, was extremely unpleasant. He spent four miserable years at that brothel before he was sent away.

Taavi spent the next five years in a brothel located in a place within the city that was a japantown of sorts, meant to give the city folk the experience of ancient japan. This place wasn't much better than the other, in fact, he was practically confined to his room, but on one of the rare occasions when he was let out, Taavi came across a dog-fighting ring and spotted one of the fighters through the window. Inside, he met Megalith, the man he'd seen through the window.

Though at first, it was only a physical attraction, they soon fell for each other and Taavi was heartbroken that he couldn't belong to Mega only. He became more and more defiant towards his boss, resulting in many bruises and cuts. His boss was fairly glad to let the troublemaker go when a new man came and bought Taavi and another boy from the brothel. By pure luck, it happened to be the owner of the fighting ring, looking for beautiful toys to keep the fighters occupied between matches. Since then, he has been happily living with Megalith.
