lukas weisserwulf, the scientist lich

tall, with sunken skin and clouded eyes; "dr. weisserwulf" is basically a desiccated corpse in a lab coat. the brilliant but unhinged scientist led the cutting edge in bioengineering for decades, often testing experimental viruses on himself.

it was one such virus, extracted from the marrow of an ancient plague victim, that mummified his body and organs while somehow leaving his consciousness and intellect intact. lukas was delighted that he could continue his experiments beyond the limit of a normal human lifespan, but his peers were less enthusiastic, and he was summarily blacklisted from scientific academia.

presently, the good doctor works out of an isolated facility supplied by shady government agencies. lukas works in bioweaponry for the money, but his main passions are human experimentation and reanimating the dead.

he keeps several of his successful animal subjects as pets. his undead dogs love to help him dig up graves, and herr otto von schnuffistein, the zombie kitten, is the best lab assistant any scientist could ask for.
