When all things were first created on Earth, a few beings were put aside. These creatures would never see the gates of heaven, nor the depths of hell. They were, in all simplicity, too homely and innocent a species for such locations.
They could be described as flame-red avianoids with deep, colourful eyes; or mammalian-esque creatures with firey wings and snapping talons. Because of their intelligence and beauty, they were given all the universe to call home.
It was not long before more beings were made, cradled in nebulas, ready to find a spot to grow. They searched for galaxies of like-minded individuals to dwell. Then, they grew old. However! They never perished, for they were too innocent and knowledgeable to be tossled into the affairs of heaven and hell.
That is where the oldest, and tallest, of the tall-and-old legends begins, you see. There was one creature, a nameless fiery female, who found discomfort in the ease of her life. And to understand her reason, you must first know two things. One you are already aware of. And this is that the creatures never died. But, and I imagine you very well did not know this, they also did not love.
