Faint humming fills the air as you walk into a clearing. You've been hiking for hours and you lost the trail almost as soon as you stepped foot on it. Melodic humming grows louder and louder as you stop through the grass, hoping to see signs of a trail, another person, civilization. Abruptly the humming stops. All sound ceases, you wonder if you've gone deaf.
"Hello," a faint, small voice sounds in your ear, "follow us."
The humming begins again, slowly fading into a musical melody. You see a bright pink and blue moth, accompanied by a smaller and paler moth. They fly ahead of you, seeming to chase each other and beckon you at the same time. You follow them as if in a trance, stumbling over high roots and rocks, losing track of time, eyes fixated on the dancing moths. Slowly, you start to notice various other bugs, butterflies, frogs, and small animals have started following you, no, following the moths as well.

You start to wonder where they are taking you, if the melodic sounds you hear are leading you, along with other small forest animals and insects, to your doom. As soon as that thought crossed your mind, the sounds stop and the animals disappear. Exhausted, you stop to rest under a blooming wisteria tree. Maybe it was just a dream, hallucinations brought on by dehydration and heat stroke. Shrugging, you look at your surroundings and realize you are back at the trail entry, you know your way home from here. What a strange coincidence.
A familiar faint voice says, "Stay safe, friend." Maybe it wasn't a hallucination after all...
