Easygoing, friendly, and maybe just a little too laid-back, Seilie is a hippie through and through. Peace and love are his bag, and he quite literally wouldn't hurt a fly. He keeps himself busy as a gardener and groundskeeper for Rainbow House, and maintaining his own little ranch home way out of town where he raises horses and a handful of farm animals, plus a menagerie of cats, dogs, and one hedgehog. It's a lot of physically taxing work that requires tons of know-how, but you'd never know it from how easy he makes it look, and how calm and relaxed he always seems.

The work he does for Rainbow House is paid, but since Daniel is an old buddy of his, it's at rate low enough to almost cover nothing but the supplies he needs. That's fine; he makes his real living raising and training horses, and everything else is pretty much just for fun. Gardening for Dan and Klark gives him an excuse to make the long drive into town for a visit a couple times per week, and that's good enough for him! His true loves are the plants and animals that he so carefully raises, but he does get lonely at times living out in the country despite all the critters he looks after. Plenty of herb keeps him distracted from sadness or anxiety when he gets into a rut, though, and he can't let himself lapse into depression when he has so many animals to care for. Dan jokes sometimes that he wants to set Seilie up on a blind date, but Seilie hopes he'll actually go through with it one of these days.

Most of his horses are either owned by someone else and staying with him for training, or are being raised by him for sale later on. The only horse he has for himself is a rescue named Enbarr, a pretty palomino mare that was injured and malnourished when he got her, and that now is a sturdy and loyal companion who enjoys long rides through the countryside. Of course, he also has plenty of other animals he cares for: two cows, two goats, a sheep, several chickens, one hedgehog, three barn cats, and four dogs that crowd his bed at night.
