Forest Sprites exist all around the world, but it is impossible to detect one without knowing what to look for. These harmless spirits are often mistaken for fireflies but they couldn't be more different. They are curious creatures that constantly patrol the forests to ensure that nothing falls out of balance.

Every 1000 years, when the Moon is at its brightest, the moonlight takes on a physical form and gives birth to a new generation of floating sprites to populate this world. However, a sprite cannot call itself a Forest Sprite if it does not inhabit one. This is how a new forest is born. Alone, a single sprite would never have enough magical power to create its own forest. Instead, these sprites come together to embody one physical entity so that they can create the forest together. This millennium, they took on the form of a canine, and has been referred to in urban legend as the ultimate Forest Sprite, Lexi.

The color of the wolf's coat is no coincidence. The luscious gradient of green is what gives each new tree, flower, and blade of grass its healthy appearance. Those sparkles you see surrounding its fur? Why those are the Forest Sprites! In fact, some say that the single embodiment of the millions of sprites together is nothing more than an optical illusion. The real truth? Nobody really knows.

All that is certain is that once the territory for the new forest has been laid down, the sprites glow with all their combined energy and in one blinding flash, they separate from their compounded form and disperse into their newly created home.

A young forest isn�t the only byproduct of this natural phenomenon� A new canine-like species has also come to life, known to this day as the Kumos. It�s no coincidence after all, that the Kumos has lunar markings!
