Glade LegeicaI had a choice that night. To follow my heart or to betray it. I looked into his eyes, and it shattered me. I couldn`t bare to look upon his lovely face knowing how it would soon crumple into tears.
I had to run away. The grip he had on my arm was strong, but my desperation was stronger. I had to go. My choice was already made, and I had to follow through with it to the end.
I ran. I ran as fast as I could. The wind pulled my hair backwards as I flew forward into the fields the glowed with the moon. I was free.
When I finally stopped running, my back hunched over and my toes dug into the earth. I was instantly calmed by the cool of the grass that flossed between my toes. I slowly closed my eyes and slid to the ground. My cheek was soon pressed against the pillow floor and my arms stretched across the glistening grass.
My mind eased into nothingness and my body went numb. It was good feeling to return to. Time had really made me fonder of this place. I belong here: being part of the earth. My joy does not truly come from his love, though I appreciated the time spent. Alas, I could not be moved from this place. To the earth and soil I return. To the origin of my beginnings I embrace. To the ends of time I resume.
