He was supposed to meet a friend before going into the haunted house, unfortunately he didn't have enough patience and went in alone. He looked around, wondering whether it was a mistake to go alone.
The floor was covered with fleshy clumps and other innards, while the walls were heavily bloodstained. He gulped and convinced himself that it was just for show. In a room behind the first door he was welcomed with the sweet stench of decay, nearly making him vomit. Pulling his shirt above the nose, he wondered what kind of tincture they used in order to create such a smell. Along the walls hung all kind of knifes, daggers, needles and other spiky and sharp things. The detail which gave him goosebumps was the red liquid dripping from some of the weapons as well as the dark blood-reminding crust on the others. He hurried into the next room, hoping for relief.
At least the air was fresh as the room was cooled by air conditioners, but his relief didn't last long.
On the shelves along the walls were strategically placed glasses filled with bodyparts. To his right were dozens of eyes, from white to blue to red, creating a grim eye-rainbow. To the left were all kinds of organs – hearts, livers, lungs, guts and others – arranged from small to big, each in small groups of similar ones. He sincerely hoped that they were made of jelly.
Meanwhile his nerves were on edge, making him jump when a silent scratching came from next door. He tired to calm himself, but a bloodcurdling scream had him running back to the first room in no time.
Leaning against a bloodied wall and barely calming himself, he screamed when his mobile phone ringed.
„Boah, man! You scared me to death! Where are you anyway?!“ he said.
„Where I am?“ came the answer „Are you kidding? I'm waiting for you in front of the hauntedhouse for an hour!“
The phone slipped out of his hand ,crushing on the floor.
„You didn't intend to leave without saying goodby, did you?“ came a rasping voice from behind. Spinning around he faced a being which paralyzed him to the bone. Its head was snowwhite with no eyes or nose but only a mouth. Its pitch black clother were covered with blood and in its hand was a recently used scalpel. Bloodless lips pulled back into a greedy smile, showing sharp teeth. „I'm sure I can teach you some manners“ it added.
No screams were heard by the cautious neighbours for the walls were soundproofed.
