Curiama

Curiama, named after a minion in Subeta. She was originally a basic unloved species but then had been zapped for ages to turn her into what she is right now, a perfection. She is glad to be a perfect glade creature that loves the nature. She's obsessed with flowers and things about plant; stems, seeds, petals, even sepals.
She was born to be the guardian of the green.

Story

Curiama looked up at the sky and made a small sigh. The sky was blotted with gray, swirling clouds. In the distance thunder rumbled, with a soft breeze ruffling the leaves and small flowers blooming. She knew this was going to be a devastating storm, and by the looks of the habitants in the Glade, they feared for their beautiful home. She reassured they would be safe, if only they returned to their homes and waited it out. As the habitants disperse from the meeting in the clearing, Curiama grew heavily worried for her forest. With the storms harsh conditions, will her beautiful forest be able to withstand the storm? Her mind swirled with questions like the oncoming storm. A sharp squawk retrieved her from her thoughts, a small beaky rested on a branch. It pecked the wood beneath her and brought its attention to Curiama.

"Guardian Curiama, I have brought great news from the north of the Glades." She announced, twisting its head back to retrieve a small note. She dropped it in to Curiama's paws and she unrolled it. Her eyebrows burrowed, "Are you sure?", the beaky chirped, flapping its wings. "The storm is nasty, and a few bandits took the time to scavenge for the glade waters," Curiama rolled the note up and hands it back to the still chattering bird. "I overheard Esther saying that the Glade water needs to saved due to a small blockage in the stream." The beaky flapped its wings and hovered next to Curiama, "If you go north, I advise you to stay hidden, you know how humans are."

"Are you sure about this?" Flews said, covering the small batch of seeds in the soil. Curiama nodded, watching her delicately tend to her crops. A small ladybug wandered on her hoof and whispered something, Curiama let out a small grunt. She disliked bugs, but due to her promise to Flews she kept them in the Glades. Reluctantly. "They are dangerous, you heard the stories. Greedy, and will step on my poor, innocent crops." Flews exclaimed, motioning to her small garden. "You should cover those, a storm is approaching," Curiama picked up some moss and laid it across the sprouts. The wind howled, and Flews quickly covered her garden, "If you go to protect the glade, I won't hold you back, just be safe okay?" Flews mumbled, getting up off the ground. Curiama looked to the ground, "I wanted to let you know so you don't come looking for me, since you seem to be attracted to follow me. Make sure the creatures stay in their homes." Flews threw a glance at Curiama, "So you're going alone?" Curiama nodded. She felt a small bit of fear with the new found information about humans.

The wind howled loudly as Curiama approached the Peka Glades, the water rippled from the barking wind. She heard footsteps, and held her breath. She watched herself grow invisible against the dense forest behind her. "Ha! This will sell for a lot in shops!" A voice boomed, Curiama could have mistaken it for thunder. "What about your pet? I would think she would look beautiful glade..."A newer voice was carried off by the other voice. "Nah, if we sell this potion, it will give us a lot of money." Curiama inched closer, hoping to hear more of their conversation but they grew quiet. Rain started, and Curiama hid under the cover of a large willow tree. The moss clung on to the branches and let out a eerie dance in the winds.

Curiama caught sight of the bandits, both holding one pitcher of her precious glade water, sneaking rather quickly she could hear the footsteps in the mud. Curiama grabbed a branch off the nearest tree, making sure tree would be able to be healed correctly. With a swing of the branch she heard a soft grunt and a splash in the mud. "Hey you alright?" The deeper voice asked, looking down at the other bandit. "Do I look okay? I think I'm bleeding." The softer voice leaned its head back. Distracted, Curiama grabbed hold of the two pitchers and brought them to the safety of the woods. Guilt flushed over her, did she hurt the bandit? She was simply trying to help the Glades, to protect them from harm. She took a peek at the bandits, one was pinching its nose and the other took off its jacket to protect them from the rain. Curiama stepped out, feeling the rain soak her fur. With each step her invisibility materialized, and walked towards the bandits. "Is that a Chai?" one asked, crouching lower to the ground. The other one didn't respond. Curiama let out a small grunt, she was always told not to interfere with the humans. They were intruding on her land, and she was the guardian of the Glades. She plants her paws on the injured bandits face. "Argh, what's happening?" The bandit mumbled under its breath while Curiama applied pressure. A faint green light blushed Curiama's face, and the long gash across the bandits face slowly disappeared. Both Bandit's lifted their heads to the Chai, but Curiama already fled to the forest.

"Why did I do that?" She panted, grabbing hold of the two pitchers. The pitchers were covered so the rain water wouldn't contaminate the Peka Glades water. Which each step Curiama realized how heavy the pitchers were. When she returned to the clearing the rain was letting up. "You returned, I am not surprised." The beaky chirped from under the bushel of leaves. "I knew you would have gone, you curious thing." Curiama poured the glade water in to the small stream that runs in to it. The winds settled down and the rain started to slow. Curiama smiled, "I am the guardian after all."
