My story...
story written byMythologyAbhik watched as Kayii stared at the iPod he had given her with intense curiosity. When she looked over at him, he felt his heart skip a beat.
"I-i-its c-called an iPod. Y-you can put m-music on it and take it with you wherever." Abhik explained to her, as he pushed his glasses back up the bridge of his nose.
Her face seemed to light up at his explanation, and Abhik gave her a small smile. He would do anything to make her happy.
"I-I can show you how to put music on it from your computer" Abhik said as Kayii fiddled with the device. Kayii looked up at him, surprised, and then she nodded, indicating that she would like to learn how, as Abhik turned around to show her how this piece of technology worked.
Abhik had lived in Greenland all his life, and he had lived alone since his parents died in a plane crash back when he was just a kid.
So it was surprise to him when someone came barging into his cave.
Abhik dove behind some rocks and hoped that whoever it was would leave soon.
The person shuffled their feet around, as if looking for signs of life. The universe decided to be cruel to Abhik at that moment, as he let out an involuntary cough.
"Hello? Is anyone living here? I'm terribly sorry if I disturbed you, I was just looking for a place to call home." Abhik heard a woman's voice.
Despite his fear of people, Abhik was curious about her. He didn't respond, but she spoke again anyway.
"Alright then, I'll continue to look for another cave" And he heard footsteps head toward the opening of the cave.
It was now or never, and Abhik, very cautiously and nervously stepped out from behind the rocks and almost took a step back.She was beautiful, absolutely beautiful. He almost couldn't think of what to say, and then...
"Y-you're not g-going to m-make me l-l-leave a-a-are you?"Abhik wanted to die right then and there.
Why did he have to go and say that? WHY? Though she didn't seem to mind all that much; she seemed more confused than offended.
"Uh, no I am not. Are you an elemental?" She asked him, taking a step forward.
Abhik automatically took a step back, and smacked himself mentally once again.
"I don't think s-so" Abhik replied. Elemental? What was she talking about?
"Well, I hope you don't mind If decide to live here too. Let's be friends? That is the word to use, is it not?"
"yes, that is the word to u-use." Abhik mumbled, looking at his shoes. The woman had gathered her things and was about to leave before he thought to ask one last question, for the time being.
"W-What's your name?"
There seemed to be a long pause, as if she were trying to recall something.
"Its Kayii."
