Short bio: Shinryuu, the Divine Dragon. The dragon's form is always as black as night; darkness billowing like smoke in the wind from its body. All are but his plaything. All will listen to him and obey him. Or, he will have retribution.

The Void. It is a place, a rift, that resides in-between different planes of existence, different dimensions. It is where Shinryuu emerged from. He traveled the cosmos, observing world upon world and the unique creatures that inhabited each. But it was Subeta that drew his attention more than any other. Such a diverse world filled with boring and interesting beings alike. But something else drew him in. A sense of some power resonating from it that called out to Shinryuu. He came to rest in a neighborhood that reeked of the power he'd spawned from. His interest lie with a Kumos that controlled chaos; his "home" lie in a mansion tainted by misery.

Shinryuu kept out of sight of all who lived within The House. He kept his massive form hidden away in the shadows, only occasionally waking from his slumber to interfere with his new roommates or to wreak havoc elsewhere. It was Shinryuu who brought Kiegan back for Lakio--a selfish wish granted so that the dragon could slumber without being awoken by the sound of sobbing. It was Shinryuu that surprised The Prince when he came across the dragon in a hallway, only to find the giant god missing when he returned with Saan. Soon, the housemates were all aware of the thing that went bump in the night. And though they wanted nothing more than to remove the "dark smoke" that clung in the corners, nothing ever came of such wishes...

Unfortunately for everyone involved, the misery of The House affected Shinryuu just as well as it did the others. He grew angrier; he grew restless. Until one day, he snapped. In a fit of rage even he didn't know the cause of, the dragon enveloped The House in a pocket reality fueled on chaos. It showed the Pets their nightmares, tortured them relentlessly, mentally and physically. It was a stroke of luck and stubbornness that allowed Akaar to escape from the rampaging god's dark force-field. It was something else entirely that had him run smack dab into Nath and Saint Cross. Shinryuu quickly dragged all three back in, but when he did he unknowingly sealed his fate. The Truth--the gatekeeper to the realm Shinryuu had emerged from--had finally caught up to him. By aiding Saint Cross, Shinryuu was defeated. As punishment, The Truth bound Shinryuu's soul to the young Kumos. He cannot go far from the boy, lest he die. The being that once considered himself a god is now nothing more than a powerful pet to be controlled by his vanquisher.
