In the city square of Praelyth, there is a statue of a man and woman that is famous throughout all of Pridd. The statue is carved in the most remarkably life-like manner; the eyes of the two figures, though stone, seem to gaze into the souls of those that come to view it. The man is tall and lanky, his hair worn in a high ponytail that was fashionable quite some time ago; his glasses and simple outfit suggest he was perhaps quite bookish, a researcher or a professor perhaps. The girl's hair, bound tightly in a braid, and outfit suggest she was a mage of old times - back when mages fought for the good of the country, rather than filling mage cells for a living. Both of them have one arm raised to the sky, beckoning some unseen being; their other hands are clasped at the girl's waist

At their feet is a stone pillar, carefully etched with the following:
