My name is Hoshiyo. Some may call me a geek and so what if I am? I really don't care. I love my hobbies. People call it "science fiction". I really just think of it as Science. Have I ever seen a crop circle? You bet! Was it real? Well, apparently you can make some pretty convincing crop circles with a tennis racket. If you're strong and stupid enough. It doesn't really bother me that I've never seen "the real thing". No Nessies or chubucabras. No blue box flying through the sky... But I'm okay with that. It's all about the thrill and the hope that one day it will be my day. For "real" work I work at a scientific research center out in the country. I mostly deal with astronomy stuff. Definitely my kind of thing. Someday I'll find evidence. Real proof you know. They are out there.

When I'm not watching comets and charting stars I like to cruise around the countryside in my Hylux at night, find a good hill, and just watch. Yeah, I know. Hylux, tempting fate, crazy glowing anomalies into the past, dinosaurs. *crosses fingers* Someday!! So, it may not be the fast life but I like it. I do have friends you know. I'm not a loner. Geek and loner is not the same thing. My best friend Liley lives out here and she's always good for a laugh. She also has an appreciation for Sci-fi so we've always gotten along well. Her boyfriend who lives nearby is pretty cool too. He has this weird friend that lives at his place. He's a real tennis nut and has this, uh... really interesting personal preference. For a dog. Sometimes I'll let him come with me on my drives. He fits in the back quite well with my telescope and is pretty good about hauling that stuff around for me. You know, as long as he keeps at least a two foot distance he's really not that bad... Maybe.
