Raylen The SlyRaylen was out in the woods one day when he came upon a mysterious item hidden in one of the trees. When he pulled it out it looked like just an ordinary pendant one would wear around his or her neck. He found it curious that someone would hide something like that in a tree. Looking around to make sure no one was watching he hid the pendant under his fur and came jaunting back home.Spirit, his mother for all intents and purposes, was making dinner. He sneaked past her and went up to his room. He did not want to show her the pendant fearful she would be upset or worse make him return it. He must have spent an hour examining the pendant he didn't really know. Time seemed to be strange around it. He was just about to put it down and go downstairs to dinner when something in the pendant caught his eye. It was just a small speck of light barely big enough for anyone to see but when he touched it the whole pendant flared to life drowning him in it's golden glow and blocking out everything else.When he could see again he was standing in a forest he had never been in before. It seemed strange. The light from the pendant seemed to bathe the whole forest in a more somber glow. He looked around and a little off to his right there was a shadow. Someone was standing there. Afraid but needing to know who this was and where he was he started walking toward the figure. As he got close the figure turned around a smile in it's half hidden face and then POOF disappeared. Raylen couldn't even say what animal, if it was an animal, it was. Now he was getting really scared. What would Spirit say? Would she be worried? Did she even know he was gone?
