Those words should have meant something to me but they didn't. I don't know why, I just don't care I guess. Love is fake and stupid. Guess that's why it doesn't hurt when girls break up with me because I don't act like I want to be with them.
"That's nice." I said it like I felt. It really didn't matter.
She snorted and looked at me with an expression I couldn't quite understand. Rolling my head back to look at her from the chair I sat on, she stood a few feet behind me with her arms crossed. "Don't just say 'that's nice'. I told you I will make you lovable." Now it was my turn to snort. She should have given up on me. I was starting to think this would be one of the relationships that I would have to break off. Shaking my head at her as I pulled back to it's normal position.
"Told you that's not possible."
"Sorrin."
"What?" I sounded more irritated then I really was. But she was starting to get on my nerves.
She responded in kind. "Did you have daddy issues?" The sarcasm that dripped off her words was something that should have annoyed me more, but I only laughed.
"Lets just go with that." I hadn't, my life had been pretty comfortable. My father was a Pharmacist and my mother worked in a bakery, they had pretty steady schedules and saw me plenty when I was growing up. I just considered myself self absorbed really. "You should go home Del. You'll be late."
"Late for what?" She asked frowning at my back.
"Well if you're late then you sleep in in the mornings and you're late for classes then you whine about how awful you're doing in your classes." I explained to her.
"For being a heartless bastard at times you pay attention pretty well." She stated. I didn't even know if I was more so friends with her or if we were a couple. It was an on and off thing I guess. She said she wasn't the right one for me, but she was going to make me likable enough for someone else to come along and claim me. I'm not so sure if it's working.
