Glacier PopokoAfter all, I am beautiful. And all this gorgeous white and blue fur isn't just for looks (although it does look fabulous)! This beautiful coat helps me stay warm while I traverse the cold, icy wastes of the Arctic Frost, which is where I live and where I was born. My lovely, soft tail keeps me safe and cozy when I curl up to go to sleep, and I always feel nice and warm! Not too warm, though - I hate the heat, and could never live somewhere like Delphi Beach - the weather is just too hot!
I'm sure my magnificent fur would get droopy and repulsive. I could never stand that. I'm much more comfortable here in the Arctic as the most beautiful creature in the land, while I search for other beautiful things to occupy my time, such as my combs and brushes. I'm so happy to have found Anana; my new minion is just as gorgeous as I am! Well, now, I guess you may hurry along. If you come back again to admire me some more, please bring me something pretty.Oh and I do love pretty jewelery."Well I do like the finer things in life
A small sigh escaped the woman's lips. A crowd was buzzing around her at the makeup emporium, the Grooming Parlour. Sui, well-known for her luscious line of eye shadows and blushes, had finally released the perfect accompaniment of brushes and bags. Azizah would be thrilled with this moment, as she had been waiting for more items to purchase from her makeup idol. However, the overwhelming crowds were really putting a damper on things. Sighing louder, and tapping her foot for emphasis, Azizah set her dear pet, Anana, down on the floor. Anana scampered about loudly, making Azizah's tapping sound more noticeable.
"Excuse me", she said not so nicely to the women surrounding her. "You're really blocking my view."
"Oh, stuff it", a large woman to Azizah's right said.
"You're not the only one who wants to see Sui, Miss Thang. So lose the attitude."
"Amused", Azizah let a delightful smirk dance across her face. "Oh, darling. I can see why you would want to see Sui so badly. But rather than that, I want her to see me."
When the woman looked confused, Azizah let out a short, curt laugh at her inability to process the insult. Anana ran up and stepped on her mistress's toes, prompting Azizah to look down. Ah! Her loyal pet had found a path through the mob. Leaving the woman behind, who was still trying to process precisely what Azizah had said, she pushed through the crowds. Assaulted on all sides by clothes, skin, waving limbs, purses, and other things that she didn't care to think about, Azizah finally made her way out into a clearing. Lo and behold, she was right in front of Sui herself!
Quickly composing herself, Azizah stood up, adjusting her jewelry and clothes in the process. She let out a charming smile toward the makeup designer before picking up a Sui Eyeshadow Brush.
She swept on a vibrant blue color, blinked her eyelashes twice, and smiled again. Ah, perfect. By this time, Sui had taken notice of her.
"Indeed!" she laughed easily, pleased with Azizah's enthusiasm. "You wear my makeup well. Well, you make it easy to wear!"
They bantered lightly back and forth for a few minutes before Sui looked at the watch on her wrist.
"Ah, I'm going to have to be packing up here soon. But I really do like your look. I'm going to be running a campaign soon."
Sui flicked out a business card and held it out between her first and middle finger.
"Perhaps you'll consider auditioning to be one of my makeup line's faces?"
Azizah smiled, and took the card, ignoring the glares of from the women surrounding her.
"I'd be delighted to, Miss Sui."
With that, she pocketed the business card and flitted out the shop, Anana trotting happily behind her. The eyes of envious women attempted to burn into her back, but they had no effect on her. How was she supposed to help it if luck favored the confident? And confidence was certainly one thing she had in full supply. Story by
