Once, there was an evil fox spirit named Tarahlas who rampaged the northern taiga. There was also an elf, who supposedly slew the fox. However, Tarahlas swore a curse upon the elf when the fight's end seemed nigh...

"I shall make you pay, pay not in blood, but in your thoughts, loves, and memories!"

And so, the fox turned into a fine mist and absorbed itself into the elf. Now nothing inside the elfin husk remained but the fox...however...

"W-what?! Who am I? Where am I?"

The fox had accidentally destroyed all of it's own memories as well as the elf's. Driven by what little remained of the elf's spirit, as the fox was too confused, the mixed being traveled to a place that no sane elf would ever go...

Somehow, along the way, the Fox within began to change from a more evil creature to a more benign one, perhaps also because of the elf's will...

The new Tarahlas was born that day.
