Caesi wishes she had a sob-story to tell you, she really does. All the others in this house have such compelling stories. But what can she say? She's always been given so many gifts.

And she's always been gifted, as it were. From the day she first hatched. She was reading before she could walk properly and finished A Brief History of Time while she was still in grade school. Alright... so maybe she'd gone to grade school as an orphan. In an orphanage. But considering the tremendous mind she had been given, Caesi never really thought of this as a bad thing or even as a disadvantage. She finished her university schooling years ahead of schedule and is currently working towards a doctorate.

In fact, the only reason she is living with this gaggle of oddballs and their hapless human master is because dormitory living is so detrimental to her work. She needed a private residence with a nice, spacious basement, and Red had been kind enough to open her doors to her. Poor thing. She was so dumb. Everyone in this house was pretty dumb... except perhaps the Feli, but she didn't talk much. But of course, Caesi was used to being surrounded by dumb people. Perhaps that was the one real tragedy of her life.

Her primary work is in physical chemistry and molecular physics. It's the building blocks of the universe that have always had her eye. The delicate dance of atoms, trading electrons as they move about each other, had a sort of beauty to it. And the idea of how small one is compared to the universe is nothing when one considers the machinations of these effectively invisible things and their infinitesimal particles. Too small to even dream of seeing, and yet each one of them vital to the structure and the movement of the universe. And, if one believed the theory of quantum entanglement, they connected everything.

Of course, her real dream was to work with nuclear chemists to help them isolate a brand new element. That was a long time off yet, though. They probably wouldn't even consider working with her until she had her doctorate in her claws.

That had not, however, dissuaded her from building her own particle accelerator in the basement.

And testing it.

For fun.

Caesi's Log
-8/10/10--Put the particle accelerator to use for the first time today! Did not go as well as expected. Astatine seems to have... melted. (Didn't she used to be a Sutego?) Fortunately, she is still alive, if a bit moody about her state. Upon further inspection, I seem to have changed colors and become somewhat glowy now. It appears the accelerator will have to be tinkered with a bit before further use.

In the meantime, shall perform chemical analysis on little Astie.

I try to live on science alone
Analysis and freaky sensitivity
We've gotta live on science alone
