    History:
    Darkness is a powerful adversary even in a universe as powerful as my own. It can invade your dreams, thoughts, and can influence the decisions you make. However, our world was not so easily beaten and the darkness was destroyed in a final battle with an ancient band of warriors known as 'The First Light'. My story takes place centuries later, when I was born as part of a matched set, and yet my brother was easily favored. From the time he was born our clan elders saw something in him, something strong and pure. Of course as with any pair they saw something in me too, something deep and dark that was better not mentioned. So as most stories go I was pushed away while my brother was trained in the arts of magic. Time goes on and things change, when I was merely a child of ten I released an ancient darkness much stronger than the one whole had plagued our universe so long ago, it had waited and bided its time. I felt connected to it, as if it were my own memories, my own past. It accepted me as a host for power and like my brother before me I began to change. My skin changed to nearly pitch black and my body was jagged with marks of magical power brighter and sharper than that of my brother. Since that time many years have gone by and I live on Earth, my brother and I have had our bouts over the years and he still believes that he can save me from the evil I have always lived with. He is naive, he doesn't see what I do, he doesn't see that the darkness he guards is only a small part. There is a greater evil that waits on Earth and bides it's time so I to wait and watch until the darkness returns.
