This isn't a perfect world though.
I know if I was given the chance again, I would have jumped in front of the truck for her again if I was given a chance to redo the whole situation, but I still constantly have the thought in the back of my mind of how much better it would have been if I hadn't. Maybe I wouldn't be so jumpy or nervous or reclusive. Maybe I'd be dating or have a normal social life. Maybe it would be her who would be in my situation now.
She has all those things I wish I had, and I can't help but wondering: Don't I deserve that?
I then remember that I deserve no more then she does.
Oh, God, may she be happy and may I one day be able to live as I should have.
