Personality:
Ryso is a sweet guy. Although he's been living a long life, doesn't mean he's pure despair. He finds even the smallest happening interesting, and he's biggest pleasure in life is to help other people have a better life. He's charming, but a little shy. He loves to talk with someone and have company, but he doesn't complain if he's alone.
He enjoys bars, and getting drunk, which makes him more outgoing, although he's no alcoholic.
Ryso is a great listener, and does not enjoy talk much about himself, because he doesn't like to brag... sober.
The best conversation partner, in his opinion, would be a woman, because of their insight in different subject, as he sits in awe, listening to them.
When Ryso gets drunk, he gets really emotional, and that is the only time he tells other people his opinion on the matter, or about other people. He rarely remembers what happened after he gets drunk, and always wakes up the next morning strongly regretting getting drunk.
Ryso always act happy or satisfied, as he promised his dead friend always to be, a long time ago. He's really commited to promises and commitments, so getting a girlfriend, he would find scary, because of the fear of being broken up with.

Past:
Ryso was born in a small, poor village 372 years ago, where he spent his first 20 years. He had a mother and a father for five years. When his mother gave birth to his little sister, she couldn't handle the strains, and died. This made his father an alcoholic, and his father died from drinking seven months later.
As they were left behind by their parents, an old lady from their village took care of them. Ryso loved practicing sword techniqes, and everything was self-learned as he had no friends, and Ryso's sister was very into chirstianity, and had no time for playing.
When Ryso was 20 years, there was a great monster that attacked their little village, looking for a sacred stone, to save it from its death. As everyone hid themselves, Ryso was out getting clean water. The monster had already passed Ryso earlier, and Ryso followed him, forgetting the waterbottles, and leaving them behind. His weapon was a wooden sword he had made himself.
The monster entered the village, and as it was closing up to Ryso's house, Ryso, as always filled with courage, jumped out at stabbed the monster's tail. The monster screamed, turned around and snarled. Ryso realized that the stab didn't really affect the monster. The monster jumped towards Ryso and Ryso ran for his dam life.
Secretly, Ryso's sister had not only studied christianity, but also old, christian scrolls, containing old, forgotten spells. She knew how using any of these scrolls would strain her, but she would rather sacrifice herself than to watch her brother died, so she brought out one of them.
She started praying in the language of the scroll, and the skies turned dark. A flashy light shone down on the monster and Ryso, as the monster had already managed to catch him and was already trying to rip him to pieces.
That was the first time Ryso witnessed the Angel of Ogien. The angel blessed him with her power and the monster dissapeared.

Many nights after Ryso had dreams of the Angel and how she blessed him.
Not 'till 6 years after, the angel came back. He was told that he had been blessed with a great power, and was chosen to become a King of the Ogien. From that day, Ryso would not age a day untill he found his place as a king.

And that's how his years started passing. He left his village. He left his sister, which had lost both her arms, but he also promised one day to come back. He walked from town to town, helping people in need with all he had. He always grew close in villagers' hearts and it was something about his presence. He never spent a long time in any city he were in. At most maybe a year or so.
20 years into his search for Ogien stumbled across a young looking girl in trouble. She screamed for help as she were hunted by a huge bear. Ryso grabbed his sword and started fighting the bear.
As the bear was defeated, he walked over to the girl, who didn't seem to be hurt, but he asked if she was allright anyway. She thanked him for saving her, and asking if she could do anything in return. Well, oh she could always buy him a drink.
There was a town nearby. Ryso carried the girl on his shoulders over there and they got into a bar, and sat down in a corner.
The girl told him that she actually was no girl, and neither a human. He was a kind of fairy, and as a thanks for Ryso's help, he would always protect him.
Ryso found this a little strange at the time, but he was drunk, so he invited the fairy to follow his wandering.
