So, the name's Ron. Ronald Bilius Weasley if you want to be all formal about it. Ex-member of the 'Golden Trio', fantastic husband to Hermione Granger, the brightest witch I'll ever know, and best friend to Harry Potter - the boy who lived. I'm the second youngest in my family, with five older brothers and one younger sister who can still be a real pain in the arse.

Now in my fourties and very much happily married, my two children, Rose and Hugo, are settled at Hogwarts and getting up to all sorts of mischief which I don't really need to know about. I never thought I'd be the one to write a diary but after much nagging from my wife, I suppose now is as good a time as any to start.

I frequently look back on my days at Hogwarts with a deep fondness. We did some heoric things, we did a lot of stupid things but I think deep down I wouldn't have changed any of it. Perhaps the one thing I might have changed would have been forcing Draco to remain a ferret for the rest of his days. The twitchy, furry look rather suited him and it certainly would have solved the problem of his pesky son Scorpius sniffing around my Rose. I told her to beat him in every test, not fall in love with him!

I know we're meant to be all for unity in the wizarding world but what can I say, family feuds die hard. Scorpius is supposed to be staying at The Burrow with us over Christmas and I'm not looking forward to it, but as long as they're in separate rooms I think I'll manage to hold my tongue the entire time. Hermione is all for our daughter's budding romance with the Slytherin, but then again this is the woman who still spends countless hours campainging for the freedom of house elves; I reckon she'd be just as supportive if Rose decided to date a troll. I dread to think who Hugo will bring home one day.

Speaking of my darling wife, all is well with her. After much thought and plenty of encouragement from our family and friends, she's decided to run for Minister of Magic after Kingsley Shacklebolt announced his retirement in April and we're all deep in the throes of her campaign as I write. After working for the Ministry�s Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and then the Deptartment of Magical Law Enforcement, it was a natural progression really. Mum and Audrey (Percy's wife) are key players in the campaign whereas I like to think it's my duty to remain calm, take a backseat and just look happy and doting in the photographs for the Prophet.

I'm still an Auror with Harry and Neville and I still occassionally help George out with the running of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. Every time I go there I remember Fred and wonder how different things could have been, I don't think mum and George have ever truly accepted that he's gone. Though it has been years since the Battle of Hogwarts and society has healed some, the scars are still there and probably always will be.

Well I better get back to loading up the car or else the kids will miss the Express and we all know what a nightmare that can be! Harry and Ginny have just arrived too so it's only a matter of time before Hermione starts calling for me. Oh and in case you were wondering, if asked what the greatest moment of my life so far has been, I'd have to say it was when I got printed on my very own chocolate frog card and I'm not even the slightest bit ashamed to admit that!
