Meanwhile, far away, without any ceremony, a young female established her territory. It remained close to her mother's and would overlap less and less as time passed.
Blanche had always devoted her free time to animals. In the Adopt R Us centre, in the annual Ruffie exposition of Centropolis, in the Pherret anti-kelptomania Education Centre. Whenever she could, she would volunteer for training and projects dealing with wild animals. She had participated in Velosotor-catching, took advantage of being contaminated by the virus during the Pandemic to work on the Telenine, and had written her thesis on the hormonal balance of Antlephores. It finally paid off, when SAI picked up her application to a census in the Artic Frost. The prospect of staying all day behind a computer to run simulations didn't seem very exciting, but she hoped to participate in laying traps, and do some field observations, would it be only one day. If not, it would still be a nice addition to her CV. She needed a good one if she wanted to go on with wildlife and research. Otherwise, she would have no choice but to get hired in a private practice in Centropolis and vaccinate Ruffies for the rest of her life.
The feline spotted her prey and ran after it. She was anxious, it was her first time hunting alone and it was a Glacier Antlephore. Their reactions are impossible to understand or predict, but at least they are slower than Sheetas. She finally caught her prey and started to eat.

Chapter 2 : Survival
Adulthood. Ice girl learns the hard law of the survival of the fittest and is a feared predator in the polar ice fields.
Chapter 3 : Apparition
Musical ambiance : The frozen world
One day under an aurora borealis, wile depressed, she meets a cybill. It appears it is a spirit who had to help her before going into the afterlife. She eventually leaves her, and at the place where he stood she finds a frozen rose key next to a heart-shaped snowball.
Chapter 4 : Taming
Sad of losing her only friend, she forgets to be caucious and is attacked. She takes shelter in her favorite ice cave. An explorer finds her on the verge of death and brings her to a center where she is given veterinary care.
Chapter 5 : Snow
Musical ambiance : All is white
She stays quite a long time and gets used to man. Vets said that as she was tamed she is unable to go back to the wildlife and decide to keep her. It's warmer than where she used to live. She sees snow falling for the first time of her life.
Chapter 6 : Loneliness
Although one of the center vets takes care a lot of her, she feels alone. She feels he is as lonely as her, but taking care of her comforts him, whereas no care can make her forget the wild life she longs for. She feels worse as time goes. She escapes from the center.
Chapter 7 : Antartic
Musical ambiance : To the dancers of the ice
While getting depressed on her loneliness, she sees animated snowflakes. It's a being which can divide into several spheres and calls himself frozen matter. He comforts her and they quickly become friends. She calls him Antartic. She believes she can be happy again, but she is captured again and brought back to the vet center.
Chapter 8 : Epilogue
The vets of the center understand she needs more space and look for a reservation to take her. She is given total freedom and can wander wherever she wants, knowing she will always find a good meal and a secure warm place with love and other companions. She is very happy and is sometimes seen playing in the melting snow of a warmer place.
