The explosion rumbled behind her, she could feel the sonic boom approaching and knew she could not run fast enough to avoid it.Smoke enveloped her body as she felt the radiation permeate her fur and sink deeper into her skin. Her each step was that of panic and despair as she realizes that she cannot out sprint the mutation. As her hooves fail her, she falls into terror knowing it has caught up with her. Her last thoughts that she wanted to escape herself- no more.
Changes- they were inevitable, as much as the sunrise. Yet, normalcy was a lost dream as she awoke after the wake of the explosion. The testing facility may have been gone, but the price she paid she knew was only a drop in ocean compared to the lives she saved. However when she looked into that ocean she only saw reflections of her former self. Finally, after hours of cautious trotting she made to shed once called "home"; for her the years passed like days, there was nothing left.
Tears fell from her nuclear eyes as a bottle hit a thud on the dusty wooden floor, she went up to it and took it. Essence of Toxic Love, the only memory she has left. She quickly headed for the door, she knew it was not safe. As she reached the door the wind blew through swinging it open and cascading her with the cool breeze. There she saw her, Rain, another unlucky soul from the facility. She kneeled down and Rain climbed upon her back, and from there they left and never looked back.
