"I want to be a hero!"
When I was little, my only friends were Pokémon. Their trainers hurt them, hit them, they starved and had to battle without a break. How can humans do that? I despise humans. Pokémon deserve to be free, not kept in these tiny Pokéballs they call home. How can they stand it? Up until now I only met Pokémon who said their trainers are bad. Humans are bad. I grew up believing humans should not be allowed to catch Pokémon. We have to respect them. We have to allow Pokémon freedom in their doings. None of them should be kept in a cage, nor in a Pokéball, nor in humans homes.
Friends help each other, right? That's why I decided to help my friends, the Pokémon. I will liberate them all. When I am king, my will is my command.
"Your Pokémon.. It says it loves you and wants to be with you.."
How is that possible? Are my beliefs wrong? No.. That trainer is an exception. She is like me. She considers Pokémon her friends, although she still keeps them in these balls, forcing wild Pokémon to follow her.. I cannot accept that! But when all trainers would be like her, the world would be a better world already... Do you believe in your dreams? In your future?
"Fight me! For the sake of Team Plasma and my friends, I will win here and then!"
I stood in front of that majestic creature called Reshiram. Wonderful white fur, elegant wings and an amazing will to change the future. The future of the Pokémon! Reshiram watched me with calm eyes. That trainer.. Can she be a hero, too? Heroes fight for what they believe in. What do you believe in?
"How can Pokémon live together with humans, when they're kept in Pokéballs against their will? Don't you want the best for your friends?"
Reshiram roared, attacking that black monster called Zekrom. They fought for hours. She stood beside Zekrom, a determined look on her face. Why is she resisting? Why can't I win? Is my path not the right one? Reshiram roared again, attacking Zekrom head-on. The pain. I can feel it. All the scratches, burns, heat. Sweat everywhere. Reshiram got struck by a thunder and fell down with a loud crash. The earth shook around us, I could feel it. Desperation, Excitement, I was overwhelmed. The King lost..
"You're worthless! A worthless monster that doesn't have the heart of a human!"
No.. Am I worthless? She battled again, her Pokémon in a worse condition. And still.. They groaned in pain, got hit, hit back, tackled, got tackled.. Bruises, blood. Then everything went silent. She won. Against Team Plasma. She fought my dreams, destroyed my beliefs. How can I face humanity?
Everything went black.
When I woke up, I was on Reshirams back. It greeted me, growling silently. I looked around. The sky was so free. No end, no cages, no Pokéballs.. Is that what freedom feels like? I could feel it, though. All the emotions. Hers. Her Pokémon. What she believed in. Reshiram descended. I knew that village. I saw her leaving the house Reshiram landed in front of. What..?
"N."
What happened? I lost. Team Plasma lost. My dreams were shattered. I lost my goal, my life purpose. But she smiled and took my hand. I flinched visibly.
"It wasn't you who was at fault. Your dream, your friends - they still believe in you. Pokémon and humans belong together. They help each other, they can be friends. A world consisting of only Black and White - wouldn't that be boring? Mixing these two elements.. Do you see how wonderful it can be? Pokémon and humans living together? Sharing their dreams, hopes, experiences. I believe in that. A world full of friendship."
I stared at her, dumbfounded. But..!
"One of Team Plasmas goals were to free Pokémon which are in bad hands. You should pursue that goal. Make it true. Not everyone is bad. You should know that by now."
I.. I know. I saw. Your Pokémon, they love you. They laugh, they don't mind. Your friends. They're different. But their Pokémon are also happy.. What are we going to do? She smiled and released Zekrom.
"Changing the world, dummy."
