The sound was deafening causing his horse rear nearly making him lose control. He pulled hard on the reins and managed to get his mount under control and swiftly rode towards the noise. His eyes widened as he first saw the huge dragon on the ground and a spear sticking out of the beasts back. He pulled back on the reins and the horse slowed to a stop, he dismounted and walked towards the dead dragon cautiously.

He examined the massive beast and determined that it was indeed dead, it had been pierced through the heart through the soft flesh of it's underbelly. That was the one true way to actually slay a beast of it's size. His eyes caught another form laying just a few inches away from the dragon and went wide as he noticed that it was a human male.

He walked closer and knelt looking the other male over, the leather armor had been torn to shreds and blood pooled from under his body. He swallowed and checked for a pulse, to his surprise there was a very faint one.

He gently scooped him into his arms and began to walk, the pure white horse followed closely behind. Dracon finally reached his cabin and stepped inside, he laid the injured male on the small cot that occupied a corner of the room. He then removed the leather jerkin and began to assess the injuries, he frowned seeing a few of them were nearly fatal. Dracon stood and gathered some supplies and began to clean and stitch the injuries, then he neatly bandaged them and covered the unconscious male with a blanket.

He had hoped that he wasn't too late to save him but then the other male began to stir, he sat up and winced a bit. Dracons eyes quickly swept over him, he had reddish brown hair and the most beautiful green eyes he had ever seen

"Hey stay still, or you'll re-injure yourself".

Green eyes moved towards him and went a bit wide.

"W..where am I? Who are you?"

Dracon gave a soft smile and approached the bed and took a seat upon a small stool

"My name is Dracon and you are in my home at the moment. I found you half dead in the forest, so I brought you here. I feared the worst; I thought you might die. You were badly injured."

That seemed to relax him and he settled back into the bed allowing his eyes to shut. Dracon kept a watchful eye on the male that now occupied his bed, he had to find out who he was and where he was from. But those questions would have to be answered another time, for now the stranger needed sleep.
