She stitches.

Some pets make scarves or sweaters or hats. And she does love a good hat. But when Amigurumi looks at yarn, she sees the life in it. She sees fur and feathers and even occasionally scales. She looks at the cream color of raw Devonti wool and sees the thick fur of an Anyu. She looks at a skein of soft cotton and sees a Feli waiting to be made. And that beautiful blue-green variegated? Just right to make an Aeanoid, even if the yarn is acrylic.

Someday, she knows, she's going to get it perfect. She doesn't yet know what "perfect" looks like, but she'll know it when she sees it.

And she does see perfection every day, in the faces of the young pets she gives her creations to. She sees it in the way their eyes light up; in their grins; in the way they laugh and skip away, hugging their new friends close.

All she wants is to see that in her own creations. And one day, she vows, she will.
