It was a special, exciting day for Kipuoro! He was going with his lovely family to explore Centropolis for the very first time. The tall buildings, the bustling streets, it was all so much for the little Jollin to take in. There was
so much shopping to be done, new
foods to try, and brand new sights to
see - but what was most exciting of
all was still in store. That night, they were going to see the ballet. Kipuoro had never heard of the word 'ballet',
but he was sure it would be so cool, almost as good as the delicious
hot dog he got to try earlier in the
day. With his lovely fur brushed, and Papillon looking her best at his side,
he followed his family into the big
hall, and waited for it to start.

The lights dimmed, the curtain lifted,
and the softest of classical songs
began to play. Within moments, the stage was filled with dancers. It was a type of dance that Kipuoro had never seen before, but he was soon
entranced by the tulle and the grace.
He marveled at the way they stood
on tip-toe, spinning around - there
was no way he'd ever be able to do
that without falling, but he'd certainly love to try! The ballerinas were lifted into the air by their partners, and
they looked like they were soaring
the way Papillon did on a windy day.
But all too soon, the show was over,
and it was time to go home.

Ever since, Kipuoro has been
obsessed with the ballet, and all
things related to it. On warm, sunny days, he can be found in the gardens, dancing up on his back legs and
spinning around. Maybe one day he'll
be in the ballet too!
