You enter the room to a shroud of silence. The air is stale with dust and traces of a tobacco pipe. In the corner is a sitting area with elegant but worn couches. In the opposite corner is a desk with a dusty typewriter and scattered tomes. As your eyes adjust to the dim light, you gasp. Every wall is lined with shelves, and every shelf is lined with books. Most of the books look old, maybe even ancient. All of them are cracked and withered with age and use. These books have been poured over, multiple times, but by who? There is the flickering of light in the back, behind a row of shelves, but it's as quiet as a grave. You slink down the nearest shelf and spy on the titles. It's all journals, histories, and maps. They all seem pretty boring to you, but curiosity drives you further down the shelf. More journals, more histories, more maps... Wait! What was that! You whirl around when you feel an ever so slight breeze that tickles the back of your neck. The dampened sound of thunder descends in front of you as a form takes shape in the darkness.
