When you'll be in Japan, there is one thing you'll notice someday,
whether you want or not:
Food.
Everywhere.
The chance of starving there is very unlikely,
since every second shop you'll take a look at,
is actually a restaurant.
Sushi, Rice, Ramen, Okonomiyaki, Miso-Soup,
Curry, Dango, Yakitori, Tempura,
Sweets, Cake, Chocolate;
don't hesitate trying Japanese food,
you won't regret it, ever.
I was able to taste all listed examples,
my favourite still is Okonomiyaki.
Why, you ask?
Despite it looking rather.. unappetizing,
it tasted great.
Cabbage, Pork, Soba, Egg -
basically the main ingredients of Onokomiyaki the Hiroshima way,
is what I like.
Additionally, it's.. a lot.
Try eating it with chopsticks. It's fun.
When somebody asks me about my journey throughout Japan,
and whether I miss it,
my usual answer is "Yes".
But besides the interesting landscape, people and shrines,
the food is the thing I am missing the most.
And I am pretty sure,
if you ever want to try being my friend -
try it with food. Japanese food.
The way to a woman's heart is through her stomach.
I am pretty sure, that's true.
