A small gem in a big city, is what most people use to describe Moretti's Family Restaurant, that sits cozily between two large buildings that tower over it. It sells Italian food, primarily pasta and pizza. For this his sons, Phillip and Peter, take their nicknames. The restaurant is only run by Pizza, Pasta, their father, and the waitress whom their father hired that they only know as Jess.

History

Born and raised with his younger brother and their single father. Their mother had run out on their father and their father's failing restaurant business, taking what little left their father had to actually fund the restaurant. Their father took a night job, as well as running the restaurant in the day to keep the family afloat. Then one day, a man in a fancy, expensive business suit walked into their restaurant and ordered a slice of cheese pizza and a small bowl of some spaghetti. The man sat there and ate his food, scribbled down some words, and walked out calmly.

The next day, two hundred people came during lunch hour, and many inquired if the restaurant would be open for dinner. Their father stuttered and rubbed the back of his head modestly and replied, "I dunno." Soon the small shabby restaurant became the popular small shabby restaurant, that made the most divine authentic Italian pasta, I've had in this town and pizza that tastes like you're sitting in a cafe in Italy. Business boomed and the small family of three were suddenly no longer struggling to get by.

Still, the boys, Pizza more so than Pasta, remember what it was like when they sometimes witnessed their father staring at the bills he had to pay and cursing because he couldn't afford their new school supplies for that year.

On the wall in their father's bedroom is a framed newspaper article column that has a picture of a man in a fancy, expensive business suit on it with words that read;

This food critic didn't know what he was getting into when, in a hurry, he popped into a small dingy restaurant named Moretti's Family Restaurant. However, I was delightfully surprised.
