Life Excerpt

Lucifer Morningstar sat across from Detective Chloe Decker in the interrogation room. He leaned back in his chair, a smug smile on his face as he watched her flip through her notes.

"So, Lucifer," Chloe said, her eyes narrowed. "You say you have information on the murder of Jerry Johnson?"

Lucifer shrugged nonchalantly. "I might have a few tidbits here and there," he said, his tone dripping with arrogance. "But I'm not one to just give away information for free, Detective."

Chloe sighed, clearly annoyed. "Of course not," she said dryly. "You always want something in return. Well, let's hear it. What do you want?"

Lucifer's smile widened. "I want to be a consultant on the case," he said. "I want to be able to assist you in your investigation and have access to all the information you gather."

Chloe raised an eyebrow. "You want to be a consultant? On a murder case? Are you serious?"

"Absolutely," Lucifer said, his confidence unwavering. "I have a unique perspective that could be quite valuable to you, Detective. And who knows, I may even be able to help solve the case."

Chloe considered his offer for a moment before nodding. "Fine," she said reluctantly. "But you have to play by the rules. No messing around, no going off on your own, and you answer to me."

"Of course, Detective," Lucifer said, still smiling. "I'll be a model consultant."

And with that, the interrogation was over and the investigation began. Lucifer may have been a bit unorthodox, but Chloe couldn't deny that he did have a knack for solving cases. Together, they delved deep into the world of Jerry Johnson, determined to uncover the truth and bring the killer to justice.

Lucifer Morningstar sat across from the murder suspect, his eyes locked onto the man's as he spoke in a smooth, hypnotic voice.

he asked, his words carrying a powerful magic known as his "mojo."

The suspect, a middle-aged man named John, visibly shuddered under the weight of Lucifer's gaze. He shifted nervously in his seat, his eyes darting around the room as he tried to avoid Lucifer's intense stare.

"I...I don't know what you mean," John stammered, his voice shaking.

"Come now," Lucifer said, his voice still calm and soothing. "You can tell me. What is it that you want more than anything in the world?"

John hesitated, his eyes dropping to the table as he struggled to resist Lucifer's mojo. But in the end, he couldn't hold out any longer. "I want...I want to be rich," he whispered, his voice barely audible.

"Ah, I see," Lucifer said, his smile growing wider. "And how were you planning on achieving this wealth, John? By murdering Jerry Johnson and inheriting his fortune, perhaps?"

John's eyes widened in shock and fear as he realized he had just admitted to his crime. Detective Chloe Decker, who had been observing the interrogation from the corner of the room, stepped forward and quickly read John his rights.

"Well, that was easier than I thought it would be," Lucifer said, grinning as he stood up from the table. "I do love a good confession."

Chloe shook her head, still amazed at the power of Lucifer's mojo. "I don't know how you do it, Lucifer," she said. "But I'm glad you're on our side."

"As am I, Detective," Lucifer said, his smile turning into a sly wink. "Now, let's go bring this murderer to justice."
