Schiz·o·phre·ni·a
/ˌskitsəˈfrēnēə,ˌskitsəˈfrenēə/

Mommy and daddy are so proud of me. They said I make the best drawings and will always have a place on the fridge. But I don't want those drawings on the fridge. I know they don't either. They take them down, and show them to Dr. Rosen when I go to see him. They whisper and look at me. And I listen to them, and the others. All the others. Because when mommy and daddy stop whispering, and taken me home, and put me to bed, I don't sleep. I keep listening. Because they keep talking to me.
They're proud when draw things, but they aren't always happy when I talk. They say I am scary, and shouldn't yell. But they won't listen! Those who are always talking are scary mommy! Don't cry and listen to me! I just want to go to sleep and not be scared! Mommy please listen! They're watching, and waiting and it tells me to do bad things! They tell me to hurt you, break things, to hurt myself.
Maybe daddy is right. That part would be best. If I would listen to them talk and listen. If I won't listen to mommy and daddy, maybe listening to them would be better. But I do listen. I listen to everyone, everything. I know the medicine names, the patterns I show, the drawings that are kept with little white labels. Labels with names. Names they've given themselves, that they demand I call them.
Maybe they are right. Maybe I should listen to them and destroy the problem.
