Snowfox is a member of an elite Tormirgard-raised clan of armored Jollins (or Tormillins) that guard the secret lairs of Ytiva in the nonholiday season. During Luminaire they keep greedy Subetans from trying to harass Melody, and are known to yowl along to her carols when their shifts are off.

Snowfox was found by Kyanrah as a kit in the polar ice fields, and the two have become inseparable ever since. He is more softhearted than many of his fellows, perhaps because he was not bred for their lifelong purpose, and likes to shirk his duties with impressionable Kyanrah eager at his heels. They live together in a series of dens for the Tormillins that run beneath the Arctic Frost, though they take Masquerade off to shed their platemail and visit Atebus - and poor Snowfox is always loath to leave his plush collection behind.

Despite the near-insistence on Luminaire being the best holiday for Jollins, the glacial pair much prefer the festivities and scandal that are sure to accompany each year's Masquerade. Kyanrah and Snowfox often race each other across the polar ice fields during nonholiday times off, lending themselves as living, heated scarves to silly Subetans who find themselves lost in the treacherous landscape.
