Aquila woke up, head pounding from yet another nightmare...or was it a prophecy? She could not tell the difference as the images still swirled around her skull like a violent tornado. She knew the boy would die if she did not intervene, but what about her life and her future? She hated this gift...no a curse. She enjoyed helping others..it was not that, but it was becoming a full time gig that she was lucky to even get sleep on! When was she going to get back her childhood or free time with friends?
Since she was young, she has had this ability to see the future, though not usually controllable there were times she could view at command, but these were few and far between. She would need to commune with the stars for this assistance and she was sick of them telling her how great she would be or such a gifted seer. I do not want it!
