Beckah is an artist. She loves all type of art but prefers abstract, random looking pieces. Often though, she will take to realistic work, she loves to paint pictures of herself and the love of her life, Jamey, together.

Beckah started painting when she was very young, starting off with just paw-printing and dipping her tail in paint to flick it across the paper. As she grew older she experimented with different techniques, mediums and styles. She believes you don't have to be skilled to be an artist; you just have to be able to enjoy your work, both the process and the finished product. She also believes anything can be art, if it evokes feelings in someone. If even one person can see it as art, she believes that it's art.

Beckah meet Jamey at school, she was running to her art class, he was running to his music class, they ran into each other, both ended up on the floor. His drumsticks broke, her paints spilled everywhere. They had seen each other around the school before, She was always immersed into her own world, and he was always playing the cool dude, bandana wrapped around his tail, sunglasses covering his eyes. She never looked twice at him - assuming he was one of those guys who thought they were above everyone else.

But this day was different; his sunglasses fell off during the collision. As they struggled to pick up their items their paws touched, and they looked up at each other. Beckah saw his blue eyes for the first time, and didn't see the tough, 'I'm better than you', guy she had always imagined hid behind the dark glasses. Instead she saw kind, caring eyes. He smiled at her, asked if she was ok. She said she was, asked if he was ok. He was so much bigger than her and that question sent them both into a giggling fit.

They apologised about the broken items, both said it was fine. They went off to their separate classes. Beckah smiling outside, but wondering if she would ever see him again - the real him anyway. He went off, thinking about her, wondering whether he should show his true self more often; whether he really needed to act cool all the time.

The next day, Beckah went to her locker and found Jamey standing there. He had his dark glasses on again, but he smiled when he saw her. From behind his back he produced a new set of paints and brushes. She smiled and pulled a new pair of drumsticks out of her bag. Again, they both giggled. The bell rang then and they quietly went off to class.

After school, back at her locker, Beckah found a slip of paper slipped into it. It had a number on it; with 'Call me - Jamey'. Beckah ran home as fast as she could and dialled the number. Jamey hadn't arrived home yet. She tried again later, he was home and they talked for hours. They agreed to meet up the next day, been a weekend.

Beckah waited anxiously in the park, looking around for Jamey, would he really arrive? He did. She ran up to him and they hugged. Again they spent hours talking; he even took off his glasses. He took her to his place and showed her his drum-kit. He played for her. She took him to her place and showed him her paintings. She painted a picture of him.
Over the next few weeks the two spent more and more time together. Soon they were recognized as a couple at the school. They spent every moment they could together.
They confided in each other, told each other things that no one else knew about them. Beckah admitted she had always wanted a pet, but not something fluffy, she always wanted a reptile.
As they moved out, Jamey helped Beckah to build her own art studio in their house, well they converted a room. He made sure she had everything she needed. As Beckah stepped into the completed room for the first time, she saw a small spectrulizard sitting on her easel. She squealed in delight, hugged Jamey and snuggled her new pet - who she called Gekko.

Beckah has painted hundreds of pictures of her and Jamey together, and they adorn the walls of Jamey's music room. Gekko always sits with Beckah when she is painting, looking over her shoulder. Beckah loves feeling like she had part of Jamey with her even when he isn't around. Just like any couple, they have their arguments. But they always remember the day they met and know they couldn't live without each other
