Charlize
Legacy Name: Charlize

Charlize was born to a clan of mischievous woodland folk. Raised to join in the tradition of seducing and tricking unsuspecting passerbys (just for the fun of it, no less), she was outcasted when she showed more interest in the forest's flora than their wicked games. However, as the sole daughter of the clan's chief, the rest of them couldn't do anything to her, and so she was more or less left alone to pursue her interests. She liked it this way, and eventually just up and left one day to join the human world, though occasionally returning home to visit her dear old mother, the chief.

In the human world, she shifted her appearances to mimic a girl she had seen once in the forest before, and began to make it out on her own. With no real applicable skills and a limited ability to speak the human language, Charlize found the world difficult and confusing. However, being a little bit proud, she forged on, and eventually struck a goldmine of luck when she stumbled on to a university campus and across the path of a passing botany professor. By this time Charlize looked more than a little worse for wear, and caught the professor's sympathies, who offered her a bottle of juice and chips from the nearest vending machine. With her limited language, Charlize communicated across her love for plants, and (with a little help from her woodland charm), the professor eventually offered to take her to the university's greenhouse.

There, she was the happiest she had been for months, and it showed. The professor, being a bit of a bleeding heart (and maybe more than a little influenced by the magic exuding from her happiness) offered her the opportunity to work with him, and from that point on everything was looking up for Charlize.

Charlize went on to learn more about plants and the human language, and was a roaring success in botanical research. It helped that she had already spent practically her entire lifetime studying plants, and was just magical enough to coax the secrets of the flora out of them. When her communication skills were strong enough, she enrolled in the university (with a glowing recommendation from the professor), and received a formal education in botany.

Soon after, however, she yearned to not only study plants, but to share the beauty she saw in them with the rest of the world, too. With the help of the professor and some of the friends that she'd made over the course of her studies, Charlize opened up a small flower shop, where she now happily works.

Charlize is a little headstrong and stubborn, and would much rather spend time surrounded by her plants than to do anything else. However, she enjoys talking to and learning about the humans she blends in with, though she mainly listens to others than speaks herself. Charlize errs on the more serious side, and takes everything quite literally (partially due to the fact that she hasn't quite gotten all of the subtle nuances of the human language down yet). She is seen with a neutral expression more often than not, though when the rare smile comes out you can be sure that it's genuine.

To her dismay, she's a giant fan of corny jokes, and she find giraffes strange and mildly terrifying.
