Kimmy sat in her bedroom, staring out the window at the sky. Suddenly, she caught sight of what she was looking for - a flicker of light, like the sun reflecting off of metal. Excitedly she climbed out of the window and jumped on the catapult she had set up. The lights, flares and fireworks she had set on the other end rushed into the air. The Flares and Fireworks exploded while the lights came crashing down. Some landed on the roof, others landed on Kimmy herself. She ignored the thumping and stared at the sky, at the spot she had seen the light, but nothing else appeared. Dejectedly she packed up and decided to try again another day.

That was just one of Kimmy's crazy plans to contact alien life. She insisted it was out there, even though no-one believed her. To Kimmy any little flicker of light in the sky could be beings not from this planet. And she was determined to find them.

The next night Kimmy was sitting on top of the mountain of Arctic Frost, staring up at the sky again. Her friend Haiden was with her, studying the stars.

'There! I saw one! The Space Ship! Its coming!' she insisted.

Haiden just looked at her as he thought about what to say. He loved the stars and the solar system, but he certainly did not believe in other life forms. But Kimmy firmly believed in it, her room, her whole house really, was covered in all sorts of alien merchandise, and Haiden wasn't one to tell someone else he thought their beliefs were silly.

They sat in silence as Kimmy tried flashed lights and tried to get the attention of the space ship she was so sure that she had seen. After a few minutes she gave up and just stared at the sky.

As they packed up a few hours later Haiden looked over at Kimmy, who seemed very dejected that once again she had failed to make contact with these aliens. He decided to just ask her..

"So Kimmy, what makes you so sure that these aliens exist, anyway?"

Kimmy looked up at him, wondering if she should tell him, in the end she couldn't bring herself too.

"I just feel it I guess...I just know, deep inside that they are out there"

Haiden just smiled at her. As he left Kimmy sat and watched him walk away. She stared up at the sky again and shook her head. As the fur moved two antenna that were hidden under it poked up. "I promise", she said, as she stared at the stars. "I promise I will find you, and get home again. Some day."
